Duties and Functions
- Oversee, integrate and coordinate the operational activities of the organizational components under its functional jurisdiction;
- Formulate and develop plans, policies and procedures relative to the provision of effective and efficient services associated with medical and rescue and firefighting operations;
- Ensure the provision of safety measures for safe landing of aircraft including the strict enforcement of rules and regulations on fire prevention;
- Provide safety measures to ensure safe landing of aircraft including the strict enforcement of rules and regulations on fire prevention;
- Ensure immediate response to emergency landings of aircraft, aircraft accidents and other emergency occurring at the MIAA complex and within a radius of five (5) nautical miles;
- Monitoring the implementation of rescue and firefighting, medical and safety operations;
- Recommend policies, procedures and strategies relative to rescue and firefighting, medical and safety activities; and
- Perform other related functions.
