MIAA Cybersecurity Advisory
Date Issued: November 4, 2025
Subject: Preparedness for Possible DDoS Attack on November 5, 2025
Following the DICT's official warning, the MIAA is proactively implementing measures to safeguard its digital infrastructure and ensure continuity of its operations. A DDoS attack, also known as a "traffic flood," may temporarily disrupt access to websites, apps, and online services by overwhelming servers with excessive traffic.
What to Expect
- Possible slowdowns or inaccessibility of MIAA’s official website, flight status pages, and online services.
- No data breach risk: DICT confirms that DDoS attacks do not compromise personal data, accounts, or financial information.
Recommended Actions for Stakeholders
- Use official mobile apps or status pages for flight updates.
- Try again later if a website or app fails to load.
- Follow verified MIAA and DICT social media accounts for real-time updates.
- Avoid engaging in or sharing illegal cyber activities.
MIAA’s internal systems are being monitored and reinforced in coordination with DICT, the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), and other national security partners.
